Our beautiful little Reese turned 1 and sadly she was still getting over the flu and had an ear infection at the time so she wasn't feeling her best. She did perk up for presents and cake but it had been a long and fussy week and a half where her little smile wasn't seen much. Reese has be growing and developing so quickly lately that it's hard to keep up. She is about 18 lbs. which is lighter than any of the other kids at their 1 year mark. She has slowed down and is only in the 60th percentile as far as height is concerned which is a big change from all of her other growth charts where she's in the 90th percentile for height. She is usually a super happy girl, she likes playing with her brother and sisters more and more now, Ellen takes her on walks around the house holding her hands and letting her walk. Reese can take 1 or 2 steps on her own but gets to nervous to do more than that I think she would have started walking by now but she got SO sick I think it set her back a couple of weeks. She can say 5 words Uh oh, Mama, Daddy, hi, and yeah she knows how to sign a few words too she signs more, all done, milk, and water. She's a great eater, she likes just about everything, especially if it's salty, but more than anything she likes milk... and not from a cup. Reese loves to climb she gets up on top of the mantle, climbs up the staircase, loves to climb up onto the couch, and things like her birthday present!
So happy to have a box to climb on! She was thrilled to be the center of so much attention!
What a funny girl! she really doesn't put everything in her mouth like some of my kids did at this age but she did hold this little present in her mouth for a minute.
I love this picture, she was tearing off the wrapping paper and ended up doing a somersault off of the box.
Reese was a little intimidated by the candle, Olivia was the helper for blowing out her candle this time.
It didn't take her long to decide that she really liked chocolate cake and ice cream. She loves to use a spoon too, she is by far my cleanest kid as far as eating is concerned.
