Reese has a condition called Hydronephrosis it basically means that her kidneys are enlarged. We have know about it since my 20 week ultrasound but we were hopeful that it would resolve itself before birth. It didn't and so here we are at Reese's first ultrasound to check her kidneys. Her Kidneys were still measuring large, On the moderate side of mild, so he Dr. recommended a pediatric Urologist. I took Reese to see the urologist and He recommended that we stop her daily antibiotic ans just watch her hoping that her enlargement is only due to hormones during pregnancy and that in time she will grow into her kidneys. We just have to be extra careful and watch for signs of a kidney infection. We will have another ultrasound in July to recheck things.
