Navy Pier, Misconsin, and Neighs

We have been having a great time out here in Chicago and we have been keeping busy over the weekends with fun activities like visiting Navy Pier where they have a carousel and a Farris wheel right on the lake and right in the heart of down town Chicago. The girls loved it! Olivia especially enjoyed the carousel she kept calling it her "neigh". She would busily sign for more and shout out "Neigh" it was pretty cute. Ellen loved it too but she loved the fact that she felt just like Jane on Marry Poppins. After Navy Pier we drove up Lake Shore Drive It was beautiful to see the lake with all of its beaches on one side and the big city of Chicago on the other side of the street.

This last weekend we spent up in "Misconsin" (that is what Ellen calls it) to visit Melanie, James, Virginia, and Manga. We had a great time at a local farmers market and we even got to see and touch real cows! Olivia insisted that they were Neighs and she kept telling them so. In fact she was so convincing shouting neigh at these poor cows that I am sure some of them believed her. Going on the cheese theme we had the most wonderful spicy cheese bread in the world, fantastic fried garlic cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, chocolate milk and the yummiest ice cream ever! No wonder I can't seem to loose my baby weight... Well we are having a blast out here and we are so happy to be together as a family the only down side is being away from all of our wonderful friends and family. We miss our house and our ward and being so close to Mangas and cousins and we miss being able to drive without a GPS system.

We had a marvelous time! Thanks for visiting Misconsin!! I can't believe how tiny Virginia is next to Talmage. She'll grow soon enough....We can't wait to come see you in Chicago. It's great to have family so close!

It's fun to see your getting out and having fun with your surroundings! It must help to to have your husband in the same state. :)
