Beautiful Millcreek Canyon

Mill creek Canyon is one of my favorite places! What a beautiful place to go and feel like you are in a completely different world, the smell and the cool air, and the gorgeous trees within the tight canyon walls...well it's hard to put into words the peaceful atmosphere that you can find there all of 15 minutes from SLC.
This is where we went to escape the heat of the city one evening. Add few pizzas, some marshmallows, grahm crackers, and chocolate and, well it just doesn't get much better than that.

This first picture is the whole gang, minus dad who was taking the picture. Tarah came with us and her 2 girls! After eating pizza and smores we took a little hike, the kids LOVED it! This picture was taken where we decided to turn back and head home. This is one of my favorites! Daddy and Talmage on the trail together.
Here we are mid-marshmallow.

Talmage was happy to be free and out in nature where sticks and rocks are found in abundance.

Ellen found a little caterpillar, she loved it! if you look closely you can see it on her finger.

This picture was taken when we first got to the picnic site. You can see the Talmage wastes no time, he got right down to exploring.

I lively game of "swing sticks around while the grown-ups pray that no one gets hurt" took place shortly after the pizza was consumed.

I think this is a fun picture of Ellen she thought she was pretty big hiking up that mountain with her very own walking stick.
