A Cold Week in Orange County

It's all my mom's fault! She came here from Utah and it got cold (okay so it was upper 50's and low 60's that's still COLD around here!) We didn't let the less than favorable weather stop us, we still spent 2 days at Disneyland, went the the beach twice, and played at the pool (Okay the hot tub). We had a GREAT time! My mom is the greatest and you just can't help but have a wonderful time when she is around. The kids were absolutely thrilled to have her stay at our house, I'm actually not sure that my mom was even able to go to the bathroom without one or all three of the kids following her in...
Anyway, It was a party! Thanks mom for coming down! Lets do it again soon!

This is my mom and the girls at Crystal Cove. It was beautiful but too cold to play down on the beach. We got to enjoy the bluffs and even saw some really cool wildlife we actually saw a wildcat about the size of a large German Shepard! We were bout 30 feet away from it and we stayed behind another couple for protection... I didn't want any of the kids to become dinner!

We had a great time riding the teacups and all of the other rides at Disneyland. It was nice to have mom with us. we could actually ride some of the rides that the little ones can't go on yet.
All of us girls at the front gate. Disneyland has all of their spring flowers out now and it was so nice to see all of the bright tulips!
The COOLEST thing happened while we were at Disneyland on Saturday! The girls were watching Marry Poppins and Burt interacting with their band and Burt started playing with the girls. He had them follow him around the crowd playing following the leader hopping and skipping. then when it was time for all of the characters to go on break he grabbed the girls hands and asked if they wanted to go on a walk with him. So we all followed them toward their beak area across the park. At one point Ellen and Olivia were holding hands with Burt, Marry Poppins, and Cinderella through the castle! tons of people were taking pictures and watching this darling procession. It was pure magic! Then when we got to their door Burt reached down into the garden and picked a flower for each of the girls! it was the sweetest thing ever. What a magical experience!

That story and picture of your girls with Mary Poppins and gang is priceless. I am SO jealous that you live close enough to D-land to go all the time!

How perfect! We're debating taking our girls to Disneyland this year since they'd both be free (and Adam's never been) but I wondered if they'd be able to go on any of the rides being so small? They'll be about three months away from their second birthday (or 21 months old). What do you think? Your girls look so cute with the disney characters!
